STIFFKEY COCKLE VISIT TO CLEY
Sunday 2nd August 2026
The STIFFKEY COCKLE CLUB will make their annual visit to Cley Harbour from across the Blakeney Estuary in August this year. These beautiful boats are built and maintained locally by George Hewitt and Will Darby, and race competitively throughout the summer months. All are welcome to witness the magnificent site of these boats entering our harbour where bacon rolls and tea/coffee will be available.
CLEY OPEN GARDENS
Saturday and Sunday, 20th and 21st June 2026
Cley next the Sea once again opens its village home gardens, with tickets available from noon until 4pm, and gardens closing at 5pm. Please start at the village Hall (NR25 7RJ) to collect your £5 entry programmes (children go free). There is free car parking and refreshments will be available throughout the village. Proceeds this year will go to Cley Harbour restoration and The Norfolk Charitable Trust Wheelyboat "Poppy" (www.wheelyboat.org).
Sorry but only Assistance Dogs are allowed into the gardens.
Carols on the Quay
5-7pm Saturday 6th December 2025
Always the best way to start Christmas, with the Fakenham Town Band and carol singing, bar with mulled wine and hot chocolate, hot food and fabulous raffle prizes (especially the 1st prize!), and FATHER CHRISTMAS arriving and leaving by boat.

Cley Advent Windows
1st-31st December 31st 2025
Cley Advent Windows returns after a festive event two years ago. 38 Cley households are creating a special festive window design viewable from the road. Each home has been given a reveal date and will illuminate their window between 4-8pm until January 1st. The locations of all windows are shown on a map which can be downloaded below. Cley Harbour is very grateful for donations on Just Giving to support maintenance and restoration of our special harbour.

Open Gardens Raised Funds for RNLI & t Harbour 2022
The weather set fair for an opening of 16 beautiful gardens and allotments hidden and tucked away throughout the picturesque coastal village of Cley. Refreshments were available from the village shops, cafes, and pubs as hundreds of visitors toured the village over a hot summer weekend. A plant sale and wood-turning stall, children’s treasure hunt, and raffle were all available too. Thank you to all involved for your hard work and generosity which gave so much joy.
Cley Open Gardens

The month of June sees a welcome return of Cley's Bi-annual open gardens and allotments hidden and tucked away throughout the picturesque coastal village. Refreshments will be available from village shops, cafes, and pubs with other surprises planned too. Please put the date in your diary and watch out for further news on the harbour social media.
